About Us

B W Simon passionately believes that Retail Jewelry Stores can operate Jewelry Repair Shops EFFICIENTLY and have them contribute to the over-all PROFITABILITY of the store.  To accomplish this Retail Jewelers must continually strive to improve skills at the bench and implement sound management principles in the shop.

B W Simon assist retail jewelers accomplish this by providing educational seminars; producing an e-mail newsletter; publishing books, tapes, and computer software; and writes articles for Trade Publications.

Bradney W. Simon


Bradney W. Simon is a Master Jeweler and educator whose jewelry experience began in 1968 when at age 12 he taught himself to cut and polish agates and set them in plated jewelry.  He learned how to make jewelry using casting and fabrication techniques while attending Quincy Senior High School of Fine Arts.  He furthered his education at Gem City College, where he studied Jewelry Manufacturing and Business Management.

Bradney has worked in the Jewelry Industry since graduation from college.  He has worked in several AGS guild stores.  He also worked for a chain store, setting up and managing shops in eight retail locations.  In addition he owned and operated a trade shop, overseeing the work of four jewelers serving 20 retail accounts.  He is known for his quality custom jewelry manufacturing, expert jewelry repair, and professional stone setting.

  •  Writes BENCH ‘PINION a monthly column in Southern Jewelry News and freelance articles in several national Trade Magazines  

  •  Wrote “Run Your Shop Without It Running You” the first book in the industry dedicated to shop management.

  • Writes and Publishes E-Bench an e-mail newsletter for storeowners, managers, and bench jewelers

  • Spoke at PRIMETiME in Las Vegas,  
     AGS Conclave in New Orleans, 
    and several state associations.

  • Conducts All-Day Shop Management Seminars across the country
